Abstract: | Slugs from 24 localities on Cyprus Mediterranean Sea were investigated. They are belonging to 6 different species, one new for science: Milax cyprius (SIMROTH, 1906), Tandonia sowerbyi (FERUSSAC, 1823), Limax flapus LINNAEUS, 1758, Deroceras famagustensis n. sp., Deroceras chrysorroyatissensis RAHLE, 1984 and Deroceras cyprium (SIMROTH, 1906). The anatomy of the genitalia of Milax cyprius was studied. The supposed identity of Milax cyprius and Milax barypus BOURGUIGNAT, 1866 is discussed. The spermatophore of Milax cyprius is described for the first time. Deroceras famagustensis n. sp., a hitherto unknown species, found in the East of the island, is described on the basis of anatomical features. |
