Abstract:

After some preliminary remarks about the genus Dictyonota and its recent rearrangement by Golub (1975), which is accepted, several new synonymies are given. (Dictyonota pulchella Costa, 1863) = D. marmorea Barensprung, 1858; (D. pardoi Ribes, 1975) = D. coquereli Puton, 1876; (D. nevadensis Gomez-Menor, 1955) = D. fuentei Puton, 1895. The case of D. lugubris Fieber, 1861, whose typical material is unknown and identity unclear, is discussed without giving any definitive statement. New species described in the subgenus Kalama Puton are: D. ribesi, from Spain (Catalonia), D. cretica from the island of Crete, and D. eckerleini from the island of Cyprus. A number of lectotypes and paralectotypes are designated among the revised typical materials of Dictyonota.
