| Abstract: | The paper reports some new records and ecological data about the Chrysomelid fauna of Crete (Greece). Lachnaia (Lachnaia) orientalis (Weise) is redescribed fixing the lectotypus and a related new species, L. (L.) zoiai, is described. It differs from L. (L.) orientalis by the shape of male clypeus and aedeagus; the female usually has a different shape of pronutum, but sometimes it is subject to variability. L. (L.) orientalis inhabits Albania, continental Greece, some Ionian and Sporades islands, Euboea and Northern Peloponnesus; L. (L.) zoiai inhabits Peloponnesus, Crete and Attica (Agios Theodori). The following species are recorded for Crete for the first time: Crioceris (Crioceris) macilenta Weise; Chrysolina (Minckia) chalcites (Germar); Diorhabda elongata (Brulle). Lachnaia (L.) cylindrica Lacordaire is confirmed for Crete and is recorded for the first time for Croatia. |
