Abstract:

Lacon gillerforsi n. sp. from Turkey is similar to L. unicolor (Candeze, 1874) from Iran but can be distinguished for the smaller size, the base of pronotum without impressions and the elytral disc slightly flattened. Lacon kapleri n.sp. from Greece in the general shape and colour is closed to L. funebris (Solsky, 1881) from Central Asia; among the black European species it is immediately distinguished by L. punctatus (Herbst, 1779)) for the pronotum nearly regularly convex; by L. graeca (Candeze, 1857) for the size larger and the body shinier. Agriotes kinzelbachi n. sp. from Syria is easily recognizable for the second antennal joint much more longer than third and pronotum sides perfectly parallel; the pronotum is distinctly longer than wide. Agriotes cribrithorax Pic, 1910 is a rare species described from Adana; the type material has been examined; new records are given; antenna and male genitalia are figured.
