| Abstract: | A new hippolytid shrimp, Hippolyte sapphica sp. nov. from the Lesbos island, Northeastern Aegean Sea, is described here. The new species is compared with Hippolyte inermis LEACH and H. longirostris (CZERNIAVSKY) with which it has often been confused so far. |
