Abstract:

We complete our report on the malacological fauna of the North of Cyprus by adding our third contribution to the body of knowledge dealing with some species of peculiar interest. Vexillum (Pusia) hypatiae (Pallary, 1912) and Cylichnina cfr. mongii (Audouin, 1827) are briefly discussed and two new species belonging to the family of Turridae Swainson, 1840 and to the family of Cardiidae Lamarck, 1808 respectively, are described as well as a very interesting form of Vermetus. We end our work with a list - in accordance to the systematics proposed by Sabelli et al. (1990-1992) - of all the species we found, some of which have never been recorded in this area of the Mediterranean Sea.
