| Abstract: | Species related to Agonum viduum (PANZ.) from the Palaearctic region are revised. Specifications of and a key to species are given and their distributions and morphological variability are discussed. The following changes in status are made: Agonum coerulescens MOTSCHULSKI, 1844, snyn.nov. to: A. viduum (PANZ); Platynus (Agonum) dolens ssp. shimoyamai HABU, 1974, syn.nov. to: A. dolens (SAHLB.); Agonum (s.str.) duftschmidi nom.nov. pro A. moestum (DFT., 1812). Agonum gerdmuelleri spec.nov. from Aetolia in Greece, is described. |
